| 3/22 Dear Friends; Amanda's day yesterday was good until about 6pm. She started not to feel good, vomiting and dumping out of her colostomy. She also complained about pain. She finally went to sleep around midnight. Today they scoped her and it looked pretty good. It had a couple of red areas but otherwise looked good. Today she is feeling better and eating again without vomiting. It is such a rollercoaster ride. One minute we are feeling great, we are flying high and in hours the whole picture changes and there is the "rejection factor" slapping you right in the face. It is definitely hard to deal with. Amanda's high point of the day today was that Rosie came to visit. She's not allowed in the hospital so we bring Amanda in a wheelchair downstairs to visit with her. Her big blue eyes just lit up and she couldn't stop smiling. So another day goes by and we are very grateful we are together. Thank you all for all the thoughts and prayers Love The Buddemeyer Family P.S SAMANTHA SWAM IN TAMPA TODAY AND DID AWESOME. I'M SO PROUD OF HER. WE ARE VERY FORTUNATE TO HAVE A GREAT COACH KAMAL AND GINA FOR KEEPING WATCH OVER HER IN OUR ABSENCE. THANK YOU! |
