Dear Friends;
Amanda is doing okay. Last night we started with fevers and vomiting again. She continues having problems breathing and we are trying medication for that. She was scoped yesterday but we do not have the biopsy results back as of yet. She also received another unit of blood last night due to her blood count being low. I believe the doctors are going to scope again because of her symptoms so we will see how everything goes.
After 24 hours of surgery, many serious complications with blood loss, blood pressure dropping and having the organs out of his body too long, Nathan Wallace died. I can't tell you how this child's life and death has affected Mike and I. We met Stephani and Marty while Amanda was in intensive care and we bonded. They were a great support. Seeing them so positive and always willing to give of themselves after all they have been through only gave Mike and I more strength. Today I feel that the rug has been pulled right from underneath me and nothing makes sense at this time. My heart truly is broken for losing Nathan and the unbelievable loss for Stephani, Marty and little sister Morgan. There are not words good enough to express the worst feeling in the world or words to say to them, there just aren't any.
I went to Marco yesterday for the day and life goes on. Everybody is doing their daily routine, working, taking care of their kids, just how things should be. Cherish every moment. They might be boring and at times hectic but enjoy your life because in a minute life can change. Kiss and hug your kids more than before. They are truly a gift given to us.
