9pm Amanda has to get another blood transfusion due to her blood count down we have direct donor and the brought up a friends bld john reiser which we thank so very much. she having little problem breathing her right lung is retaining fluid so the are setting the vent to help breath more. the nurses changed the dressings 3 x this morning and still alot of oozing.
12noon Amanda sill holding at times if we get close and talk to her she will open her eyes and nods her head appropriately to questions. we touch her to sooth her and we tell her about all the wonderful friends and family calling and thinking of her , of course she did smile when we said sammy' and rosie's name. we receive back cultures that are positive so she has another infection and now she will be put on another antibiotic med. also they are watching her lung because it is filling up with to much fluid and her breathing is more difficult. they have given her lasix to get rid of some fluid and waiting to see how it working.
4pm Amanda had chest x-ray and a ultrasound of her right lung the doctor say there is too much fluid so they are put a chest tube in to drain the fluid out and will leave the tube in for a while to see how she does. the procedure went well her lung drained her breathing is improved. her blood count remains low so she is getting another transfusion today and the direct donor is lela my mother Amanda's grandmother.
9pm Amanda's breathing is better her lung is draining only little now which is good. she has a central line on her right side of her neck( this is a different kind of port like she had on her chest) they had to put in a new one due to the other one was not in enough and didn't have enough access so they replace it and that went well. she is comfortable now the gave her a bath and once again mike and I are going to get some sleep. I will continue tomorrow. please forgive the grammar mistakes. also I sending picture they can be hard to look at .
