Today was a better day for Amanda. They have her back on the pain medication but have lowered the dosage trying to wean her off. They scoped and ran biopsies. The biopsy came back with minimal rejection (undetermined) which is good. She still continues to get fevers of 103 and 104F without any apparent reason. Amanda's lab work still continues to show negative results for infection or anything else. They have her on a cooling blanket to keep the fevers under control. The blanket's like sleeping on a block of ice with only a sheet in-between you and the ice. Amanda was up in the chair twice today. She still alittle shaky but coherent. They have removed her chest tube and started tube feedings thru her J-tube. The foley was also removed and she can use the toilet. This is a big step for Amanda towards being normal again.

Monica has been like a rock! She is always doing something for Amanda whether it's washing her hair or cleaning up something or organizing the medical cabinet. I think the nurses want to hire her full time. My wife is truly amazing.

Thanks for being there for us with prayers and e-mails. Mike
