Amanda is up and down today. One minute she seems ok and the next she's running 103-104 temp, trying to throw up and shaking uncontrollable. She is always in pain.  It's getting harder to watch day in and day out. My wife and I are running thin on patience with some of the things going on. We're sleep deprived and anxious. This is harder then we could have ever imagined.

We've talked to other transplant parents whose children have received new organs, even one family whose 4 year old son has received 4 liver transplants. Their son is ok for now but complications are starting to slow down his progress. We've started to bond with these same families that we see all day. It helps to hear about their stories, its lets us know that most of what's happening to Amanda is normal.

The transplant surgeon came in today and said that Amanda's organs looked pristine on Friday when they went back in to fix the j-g tube. The scope today looked excellent but we'll have to wait for biopsy results tomorrow. Dr. Maldini said they have not seen any signs of major rejection at this point.

Monica and I again would like to thank everyone for all their support during this trying time, Mike
