| 2/6 Amanda had a slightly better day today then yesterday. We're still having some problems with drainage from around the g-tube site. She also started draining blood from her NG tube that comes from her stomach. They are watching the situation closely. Her fever still continues and the doctors still think it's from the drug chempath which is used to shut down her immune system. They say there will be no signs of rejection until they take her off the chempath next week. Amanda is still uncomfortable and irritable but coherent. My mom's left lung collapsed today resulting in difficult breathing. She is other wise doing well. She was told today that she has to stay off her left leg for 10 weeks and they won't know about the right heal until next week. The new web site set up by my brother-in-law John is up and running. Please visit and tell your friends. There will be photos before and after the transplant. There are also some interesting links listed. The web page is buddemeyerfamily.com. |
