Uncle John writing today. Monica had to go back to Marco yesterday afternoon, so it was a family tag team here. Lela spent the day with Amanda, along with Aunt Sandra, then Lelo spent the night, then back to Lela this morning, joined by Lelo in the afternoon, then finally handing off to Aunt Sandra and myself this evening.
Yesterday was a rough day, since Amanda had problems with her bag. In the morning, though, she broke her own record, walking 12 laps around the unit. In the evening she had a CT scan to see why she was dumping so much and where her recent pain was coming from. She didn’t get back from that until after 11PM, then the bag problems got to be too much and they decided to change the whole bag (a first for Lelo). Amanda didn’t get to sleep until after 1AM.
Today she was much more comfortable, and had a great day. She did spring a leak again in her bag, but Lelo the plumber was able to patch the leak. Amanda spent a lot of time in the play room, being crafty. She’s been talkative and cheerful, laughing at emails from friends and goofy movies. It's truly a joy to be around her when she's feeling good. We savor every moment.
