Dear Friends;
I didn't realize I haven't written in more than two days but things are doing okay. Amanda's OKT3 is working she now has no rejection at this point. Today is day 10 we have 4 more to go and then we wait. Amanda is feeling better and is able to eat a little. She is on a soft bland diet. Foods like soup, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs, ice cream, yogurt and baby foods. So far she is doing pretty good. She still continues with some pain but we are working on trying to give her little pain medication. Today she is up and walking and even going to the play room for a little bit. Her stomach gives her pain at times and on the outside her skin around her ostomy tends to burn due to the acid touching her skin leaving her red and areas that have blisters. Things right now are doing better.
I would like to say thank you to all of Tommy Barfield Elementary kids. They worked so hard and did a great job at the talent show. Mike and I were able to be there and enjoyed it very much. Amanda is getting to watch the video now and is enjoying every minute. We also would like to thank all of Marco's community. Everybody has been so thoughtful and giving to our family. I can't tell you how great we feel to be a part of such a great community. In our toughest times you have given our family hope and enormous amount of love which helps us very much. We can't thank everyone enough for sharing your hearts with our family; it is a great feeling.
